Testing has been my bread and butter for nearly 2 decades now. However, early on I discovered I had ADHD.. Meds? Tried them, got angry. Distract the brain during the boring, important bits? Yes!! It was 2012, I was trying to pay attention during a manager’s meeting. I had rediscovered drawing, and well, decided, hey! This can’t hurt. So I drew during a meeting, I remembered the important bits. My manager asked me to repeat back the last 10 minutes of the meeting, which I did, surprising myself. I did not get asked for a long while about whether I was participating in a meeting. People knew and started to hear about it.
This trend of getting questions during meetings did not end until I proved it with each company or new manager.. Until a Study came out linking my learned coping mechanism to real-world data.

So when you’re going along and Booom! The world changes around you.
As life changes in ways we do not expect… What do you do?? Job market changes, positions get eliminated, and the job search takes longer than you want it to? Make something! As I was actively seeking employment, I came to realize that I needed to do something for my sanity and to sharpen my skills. I set a deadline… Underestimated, learned a lot, and fully published a coloring book from scratch. This emboldened me to start work on coloring book 2. More realistic time frame, goal, and management of the learned process. This is what one gets when they are an owner, qa, dev, designer, and scrum master. The whole picture and a whole lot of respect for the roles I am not good at.. Project manager/ Owners out there, I salute you! This type of story and more will be what I drive to create with this blog.
Chibi Whiy this… Style of art?
I am a huge nerd! With a bit of an obsession with Anime/video games. With a curiosity for Japan culture as they have a lot cute, cool, and unique things!
So I like cute cool things.. Most of my drawings are of this is cute or cool or both.. Chibis seemed to fit what I wanted.. Simple, easy to reproduce, fun! All criteria for what I wanted. Over complication of the art breaks the magic of ADHD duo core processing. So I will always start simple. Drawing friends, family, complete strangers. This cute anime style worked great.. Monsters??
